Milestone Awarded Contract for Purchase and Leaseback of Two New Leonardo AW189 Helicopters with Vår Energi
DUBLIN – February 25, 2025 – The Milestone Aviation Group Limited (“Milestone”), the global leader in helicopter leasing, today announced that it has been awarded the contract for the purchase and leaseback of two new Leonardo AW189 helicopters with Vår Energi ASA - a leading independent upstream oil and gas company. The aircraft, which will be operated by Lufttransport RW AS, are scheduled to deliver in 2026 and will operate on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
This announcement follows the recent awarding of a contract to Milestone by Equinor for the purchase and leaseback of five new Leonardo AW189 helicopters.
